New Orleans: Society of the Holy Spirit, 1900. Pamphlet. 8 p.; 15 cm. Folded, but not cut or stitched, so that it has to be unfolded to be read. "Holy Family -- Supplement Third." Addressed to the editor of the Baton Rouge Weekly Truth in response to a column by "Light Seeker." No date of publication. The Weekly Truth was published from 1883 to 1908. Advertisement on p. 8 for The Holy Family: Weekly Journal for Family and School, published by the Society of the Holy Spirit, under the direction of Frank McGloin at 72 Camp St., New Orleans. Frank McGloin (1846-1921) was born in Ireland and grew up in New Orleans. After fighting with the Confederate Army during the Civil War, he became a lawyer and wrote several works on Catholic subjects. He is probably the anonymous author of this editorial published as a pamphlet. Very scarce. In Near Fine Condition: light corner creasing; clean and intact. Near Fine. Item #006871
