Dark blue clamshell case with gilt title on spine and top; silver fastener. Preface signed: William Aldis Wright. The manuscript, mainly in Milton's own hand, written between 1633 and 1648, includes several drafts of some of the poems, and many corrections. The facsimiles are collotypes made from photographs by A. G. Dew Smith. Each facsimile is accompanied by a transcription of the text in ordinary type. With an order form from Macmillan & Bowes, booksellers. It was available "Half Roxburgh gilt top" or "Unbound in Case." Ex-library: small stamp on back of each facsimile leaf: "Library of Haverford College, Haverford, Pa.", and call number written in white at tail of spine of case.
