Philadelphia: Philadelphia City Planning Commission, 1948. 1 page (8.5 x 11 inches) with proposed plan for the Schuylkill Expressway, dated Oct. 1948. Shows the proposed route along the west side of the Schuylkill River from University Ave. through Fairmount Park to City Ave. The city of Philadelphia aproved plans in 1947 for a highway to connect the city to the Pennsylvania Turnpike near Valley Forge.
