Elizabethtown College was founded as a co-educational school in 1899 by members of the Church of the Brethren. The first catalog informed potential students that ladies' room would be furnished with carpet for free, while gentlemen's rooms would be furnished with carpet for 50 cents per term. Tobacco was forbidden on campus. The first catalog of the college is very scarce. In Very Good Condition: wrapper is slightly soiled and lightly creased; pages are clean and tight. Very Good.
