1811. 1 handwritten document. [4] p.; 35 cm. Embossed stamp indicating the payment of one pound 10 shillings. signed by John Osborne with his seal. Also signed by witnesses P. A. French and Charles Wardroper. A deed of gift from John Osborne, esquire, of Lillesden in Hawkhurst Parish in Kent County, England, to Francis George Cox Burridge, esquire, and his wife, Mary, Osborne's only child, giving all his personal household items and implements of husbandry. Francis G. C. Barridge (1779-1830) was a captain in the first Somerset militia. He married Mary Osborne (b. 1791) in 1806. By the time of his death in 1830, they were in Kentucky.
