Card covers with chromolithographed illustration of a dog on the front; die-cut edges. The letters of the alphabet are illustrated with dogs, from airedale terrier to "Jap dogs" (pugs?) to wolfhound, with X, Y, and Z being toys for the dogs. A former owner has enthusiastically colored in all of the illustrations except for the chromolithographs. A scarce Father Tuck ABC book. In Fair Condition: old stitching repair of the spine; loss at corners of cover, which is creased and soiled; closed 2-cm. tear from fore-edge throughout; coloring except for the 4 chromolithographed pages; occasional staining and creased of edges; complete.
