Dust jacket (in mylar cover) with illustration on spine and front by Arthur Hawkins, Jr. (1903-1985), a designer of many striking dust jackets from 1927 to about 1940. Two pages of publisher's catalog follow text. Back section of dust jacket also has publisher's advertisment. In this diverting story, a young woman takes the place of her nearly identical cousin, who is ill, on board a passenger ship as social hostess. Hijinks and romance ensue. Both the novel and the dust jacket are very scarce.
Book is in Very Good+ Condition: corners lightly rubbed; blue smudge on front fixed endpaper; otherwise, clean and tight. Dust jacket is in Good- Condition: loss at edges, most significantly at head of spine and at both edges of back section; closed tears with some archival repairs on reverse; rubbed.
