"The Easiest Way" by Eugene Walter, starring Frances Starr, Edward H. Robins, Joseph Kilgour, William Sampson, Beatrice Morgan, and Violet Rand at the Lyric Theatre beginning Mon., Jan. 31, 1910. Under the personal supervision of David Belasco. Lyric Theatre Orchestra under the direction of Ben Roeshman. Frances Starr signed with Belasco in 1906 and her role in "The Easiest Way" is considered her breakout role. She went on to a long career on stage and screen. "The Melting Pot" by Israel Zangwill, starring Walker Whiteside, Sheridan Block, John Blair, Grant Stewart, Henry Vogel, Florence Fisher, Leonora von Ottinger, Louise Muldener, and Nellie Butler at the Adelphi Theatre beginning Mon., Jan. 31, 1910. Walker Whiteside enjoyed a long stage career beginning in his teens; his first Broadway hit was in 1909 in this role. In 1915 he starred in the film of The Melting Pot. With ads for many Philadelphia businesses, including the Hotel Walton Palm Room feturing Pascal Parente and his Famous String Quintette; the Sun Electric Generator Co., seeking investors in a solar power company; Cafe L'Aiglon featuring new "In the Orient" decor with L'Aiglon Orchestre Parisien and Abou Nabue to "make your curries"; and several pages of automobile news, including ads for the Cole Flyer (Torpedo) sold by the Stoyle-Vogel Auto Co. In Good Condition: lacking lower corner of front and back cover; faint dampstain at fore-edges throughout; light creasing; pages are clean and tight. Good. Item #008358
