This covers part of an earlier handwritten note to the same effect, of which only the address is visible. Illustrated dust jacket. The adventures of two country kittens in the city. With 3 pieces of correspondence dated 1988 relating to possible reprinting of this title: 1) a letter from Mary-Louise Moran, an attorney in Maryland Heights, Mo., who had fond memories of this book from her childhood and had not been able to find a copy for her child, wondering whether there would be a new edition; 2) a letter from editorial assistant Ellen Johnson, Dell Publishing, say that they wanted to consider reprinting The Country Kittens and The Grocery Mouse; and 3) a lettr from executive editor Michelle Poploff saying that they would not reprint them. As in 1988, very scarce. Book is in Very Good+ Condition: ends of spine are rubbed; author's address on front free endpaper; otherwise, clean and solid. Dust jacket is in Good Condition: loss along spine; edges rubbed with minor chipping; front flap is price-clipped; closed 2-cm. tear from upper edge of back section. Very Good + / good. Item #008498
