Inside the back wrapper lists the officers of the Electric Storage Battery Company Athletic Association, president E. Cadwallader. The Electric Storage Battery Company was established in 1888 by W. W. Gibb. In 1920, the company purchased 40 acres in Philadelphia for a new plant. This issue of the employee magazine reports on the excursion taken on July 23, 1927, by employees on train and steamer, along with other activities (tennis, baseball, marriages, babies, etc.). After a number of name changes, the company is now known as Exide. Very scarce. In Very Good- Condition: wrapper is lightly soiled; one vertical crease; internally clean and solid. Very Good -.
