He denounced the Fenian Brotherhood and worked for the creation of the Canadian Confederation. Following the Confederation, McGee was elected to the first Canadian Parliament in 1867 as a Liberal-Conservative representing the riding of Montreal West. In 1868 he was assassinated, probably by a Fenian sympathiser. In Fine Condition: clean and bright. Fine. Item #008933
