The Cobden Club was a gentleman's club established in London in 1866 for believers in free trade. Unlike most such clubs, it had a publishing arm but no club location. The author, William Fowler (1828-1905), was an English Liberal politician who served in the House of Commons two times between 1868 and 1885. He was also the author of several books on free trade and other economic topics. Scarce.
