The Villa d'Este, originally Villa del Garovo, is a Renaissance patrician residence in Cernobbio on the shores of Lake Como in northern Italy. Built in the 16th century as a summer home for the Cardinal of Como, since 1873 it has been a luxury hotel. Scarce. In Good+ Condition: loss along upper edge of front section of dust jacket, without loss of printing; sunning along spine and edges; slightly bowed; front board and jacket starting to separate from lower joint; pages have some sunning along edges but are otherwise clean and solid.
