No dust jacket. The author, Thomas Harvey Gill (1891-1972), was a man of diverse interests. In addition to writing popular fiction, he was a leader in American forestry and one of the founders of the interdisciplinary journal Psychiatry: Journal of the Biology and Pathology of Interpersonal Relations. He also founded the International Society of Tropical Foresters. Although his most well known fiction is set in the American West, this novel combines his knowledge of tropical forestry with adventure and romance as it is set in the jungles of Central America. Scarce. In Good Condition: cover is soiled; spine is faded; spine corners just starting to fray; minor staining at lower edge of title page and in lower margins of a few additional pages; otherwise, clean and tight.
