The photographer was Alfred Ellis (1854-1930), a British photographer who specialized in theatrical photography. The subject, Aida Jenoure (1863-1958?), was active on the musical theater stage in England and the United States. She was born Adelaide Marion Gerrard and changed her name to Aida Jenoure around 1885 when she began to perform, touring with the D'Oyly Carte company from 1885 to 1888. She continued to perform through 1927, having married a fellow actor, William Sutherland Howard Cochran (1873-1937), in 1904. Scarce. In Very Good Condition: the leaf is lightly soiled; the photograph is clean and crisp. Very Good. Item #009166
