1875. Paperback. [36] p.; 22 x 29 cm. Paper cover printed in black. Cover title within decorative border; back cover has decoration in black. No publication information. Consists of 18 blank leaves separated by tissue guards. Faint penciled name (possibly McSully) on front cover dated Oct. 23, 1875. One page also has inscription including name that might be McSully. Final page has address: 105 Third St., Reading, Pa. The owner used the book to study drawing. Each page contains work in pencil, beginning with basic shapes and letters and concluding with several pages of landscapes and other scenes. From the 8th leaf onward they are dated, from April to June 1876, and then 2 from Nov., possibly 1879. In Good Condition: remains of marbled paper along spine, possible old repair; cover is soiled; loss at edges; lacking final leaf; chipping to edges of tissue paper; otherwise, clean and solid. Good.
