The Ferris Industrial School, or Ferris Reform School, was the first vocational training school for delinquent boys in Delaware. It was founded on a farm called Woodside in 1885. This publication contains financial and other information on the school for 1893. At that time it consisted of 50 boys, black and white; one had died during year. The 15 who had been committed during year were aged 10 to 15 years and had been been sent to the school for larceny, incorribigility, vagrancy, and breaking and entering. Scarce. In Very Good Condition: cover is lightly soiled; faint stains at upper edge of a few pages; otherwise, clean and solid. Very Good. Item #009461
