Katharine McDowell Rice (1859-1945) was an author of children's books and many humorous plays. She studied dramatic literature and theater at Radcliffe College as a special student, graduating in 1912. During the First World War, she helped to found the Boston branch of the Women's Peace Party. On Oct. 4, 1918, she was one of 5 signers of a short piece supporting the formation of the League of Nations, published in The Journal of Education (88:20). Scarce.
