Allen Trimble commissions James Clements as a justice of the peace of Athens Township, Harrison County, Ohio, for three years on Sept. 27, 1828. Signed on the front by Gov. Allen Trimble (1783-1870), and the secretary of state, Jeremiah McLene (1767-1837). On the back is also James Clements' resignation from the office of justice of the peace on July 17, 1829, signed by him. In Very Good+ Condition: lightly foxed and creased. Very Good +. Item #009611
