Allen Trimble commissions Lensulus Kent as a justice of the peace of Moorfield Township, Harrison County, Ohio, for three years on May 31, 1830. Signed on the front by Gov. Allen Trimble (1783-1870), and the secretary of state, Jeremiah McLene (1767-1837). Jeremiah McLene (1767-1837) served as Ohio Secretary of State from 1808 to 1831 and represented Ohio in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1833 to 1837. He was born in Pennsylvania and is credited with having risen to the rank of major general of militia during the American Revolution. In Near Fine Condition: lightly creased. Near Fine. Item #009612
