This is the first issue of the German architecture serial Architektonisches Skizzenbuch. Six issues were published per year, each issue consisting of 6 architectural plates. Captions are in German. Contents: hunting house and porter house by Friedrich Ludwig Persius; a highway house (chromolithograph); garden seating and a garden house by Heinrich Strack; details from the garden house; a gazebo and other small structures; details from the fence around the statue of Friedrich Wilhelm III in the Berlin zoo by Friedrich August Stüler; and one leaf with a list of the plates. In Very Good Condition: some browning along the edges of plates; chipping along lower edge of plate 1; otherwise, clean and bright. Very Good. Item #009654
