Stamped on the front free endpaper and on the title page: "Editorial Page Library." A biography of American politician Edward M. House (1858-1938), known as Colonel House. After being active in Texas politics, he moved to New York worked for Woodrow Wilson both as a presidential candidate and as president. He was also active in international diplomacy during World War One. The year after this biography was published, Wilson split from House. Scarce. In Good Condition: cloth is torn at head of spine with minor loss; residue from paper spine label at tail of spine; upper page corners have light creasing; Editorial Page Library stamp, as described; otherwise, clean and solid.
