Contains song with lyrics and keyboard accompaniment. No date of publication. The publisher, George Willig, was located at 171 Chestnut St., Philadelphia (the address on this sheet music) from 1819 through 1849. John Orlando Parry (1810-1879), English actor and songwriter, and Albert Richard Smith (1816-1860), English author and entertainer, worked together in the 1840s. This humorous song about the popularity of the polka first appeared in 1844. Very scarce. In Very Good- Condition: leaves are separating at each end; lower corner creased; clean and solid.
