Dr. White's Celebrated Cough Drops [trade card featuring Black characters]

Boston: J. H. Bufford's Sons, 1882. 1 card (6.7 x 11.2 cm.) printed in 3 colors. Illustration on front is captioned: "A cabin in the gold old time." The chromolithographed illustration shows several Black characters, one playing a banjo, several dancing, and other clapping. The back of the trade card has an advertisement for Dr. White's cough drops with an illustration of a container of the same. Scarce. In Very Good Condition: one corner is creased; back is discolored and scraped, without loss of printing; front illustration is clean and bright. Very Good. Item #010344
