S.l. s.n., 1882. 1 card (8.8 x 15.4 cm.); chromolithographed illustration on the front with 3 Black characters depicted with exaggerated features. A well-dressed Black woman walking with a well-dressed Black man tells a poorly dressed Black man whose shoes are falling apart: "Go way Ephraim, Ise got a new beau now dat wears Standard Boots!" The back contains an advertisement for Standard Screw fastened boots and shoes, along with a calendar for the second half of 1882 and all of 1883. Stamped in red on the front are businesses Hunt & Russell, Boston, and T. J. Whittredge, Lawrence, Mass. In Good Condition: 2-cm. closed tear from lower edge with old repair on back; front is lightly soiled; back is discolored and scraped; solid. Good. Item #010348
