Cards. 4 Singer Manufacturing Co. trade cards: #1: (12.2 x 8.2 cm.) with illustration of St. Patrick's Cathedral, NY, on the front; information about the Singer Sewing Machine on the back including the number of machines sold in 1881. #2: (14 x 8.2 cm.) with gilt printing on a black background on the front with a flower embroidered in yellow and green; the back is blank but has been stamped "D. L. Holden, Agt., East Otisfield, Me." #3: (14 cm.; [4] pages), printed by J. Ottmann Lith. Co., with an illustration of a woman standing on the moon looking up at a sewing machine in a star on the front; the back contains a calendar running from July 181 to June 1892; the center 2 pages contain advertising for the sewing machine and are also stamped by Holden. #4: (15 x 11.5 cm.), printed by J. Ottmann Lith. Co., with an illustration on the front of a bobolink and egg by J. L. Ridgway, no. 10 in the American Singer Series copyright 1898; the back contains information about the bobolink and advertising. In Good to Very Good Condition: #1 lacks one corner and is lightly stained along the lower edge and lightly soiled; #2 edges are lightly rubbed; #3 has rubbing to the edges; is very lightly soiled; #4 is creased along one edge and lightly soiled; the backs of #1 and #4 are discolored and scraped with loss of text.
