Cards. 5 trade cards: #1 (11.8 x 8.3 cm.) with a color illustration on the front of a young woman wearing a basket for a hat. #2 (11.4 x 7.7 cm.) with a illustration on the front of a young woman at a well with a young man leaning of the wall. #3 (11.4 x 7.7 cm.) with an illustration on the front of a child who has just been scratched by a cat. #4 (11 x 7.3 cm.) with an illustration on the front of a woman and two cows. #5 (12.3 x 9.7 cm.) with an illustration on the front of a fortune teller reading a young woman's palm. The back of each card contains advertisements for Dr. Jayne's products: Tonic Vermisuge, Carminative, Expectorant, and Sanative Pills. The Presented By section of #5 has been stamped "M. F. Collins & Son, Norwood, New York." In Very Good- Condition: the illustrations are clean and bright; #5 is slightly rubbed; #1 has a closed 0.5-cm. tear from the lower edge; #5 has a closed 0.5-cm. tear from the upper edge and a closed 1-cm. tear from the lower edge with an old repair on the back; #5 has one lower corner creased; the backs have some discoloration and small scrapes with loss of text.
