J. & P. Coats Trade Card Collection

Pawtucket, RI: J. & P. Coats, 1881. Cards. 5 trade cards for J. & P. Coats thread. The largest (17 x 8 cm.) has "Bookmark" and a calendar for August of 1881 on the front along with a color illustration of a woman standing in a field signed H. A. Goodwin. The others have amusing color illustrations on the front, including frogs riding penny-farthing bicycles. One has a blank back; the others have advertising for J. & P. Coats thread. In Good Condition: the tall card is scraped along the lower edge; one card is lacking a lower corner; the tall card has a 1x2-cm. scraped section at the upper edge of the back; the back of the others are scraped and discolored with some loss of printing.
