Coleman vs. the Hudson River Bridge Company at Albany; and Robert D. Silliman vs. the same defendant. John H. Reynolds (1819-1875), an attorney in Albany, NY, represented New York in Congress from 1859 to 1861. The incorporation of the Hudson River Bridge Company on April 9, 1856, under special act of the State of New York, authorized the construction of a bridge across the Hudson River. The plaintiffs here, Frederick W. Coleman and Robert D. Silliman, sought to prevent the bridge construction. Scarce.
