Off-white cover printed in dark brown. Text printed in dark brown. Lincoln's second inaugural address was delivered on March 2, 1865. On April 9, Lee surrendered to Grant at Appomattox, ending the Civil War and two day later Lincoln was assassinated. The words of this address are inscribed on the Lincoln Memorial, concluding: "With malice towards none, with charity for all."
