Stamped on the back: "Photograph by Philip B. Wallace, 332 S. Smedley St., Philadelphia, Pa." Centaur Books was owned by Harold T. Mason in the 1920 and 1930s. As Centaur Book Shop he published a number of literary bibliographies, including those of the works of James Branch Cabel, D. H. Lawrence, Stephen Crane, and Theodore Dreiser. The photographer Philip B. Wallace was active in Philadelphia from 1902 into the 1940s. This photograph was taken in the 1930s. In Fine Condition: clean and solid. Fine. Item #011452
