The author led the team from the University of Pennsylvania Museum when it excavated Minturnae, in southern Italy, in the early 1930s. The majority of the over 100 pieces of sculpture found there were left in Italy and lost during World War II. This section of Excavations at Minturae covers architectural terracottas.
