Elizabethtown College was founded in 1899 by the Church of the Brethren, one of the historic peace churches. The school was accredited to grant baccalaureate degrees in 1921. Contains many black-and-white photographs, as well as the music and lyrics of the college song and the class song. The faculty and student body are coed and include members of the Church of the Brethren (identified by their distinct style of clothing) and others. Many advertisements for local businesses including Groff & Wolf Co., Lancaster, "Plain Clothes Headquarters," and Hertzler's Department Store with Kenosha-Klosed-Krotch Union Suits. Scarce.
