Elizabethtown College was founded in 1899 by the Church of the Brethren, one of the historic peace churches. The school was accredited to grant baccalaureate degrees in 1921. Contains many black-and-white photographs. The faculty and student body are coed and include members of the Church of the Brethren (identified by their distinct style of clothing) and others. Many advertisements for local businesses including Missimer & Yoder "The Home of the Plain People," and the Coca-Cola Bottling Works in Lancaster. Scarce. In Good- Condition: foxing on final few pages; faint dampstain on upper page corners 191-208; minor scraping on upper page corners 186-208; finger soiling in lower margins of several pages; otherwise, clean and tight.
