Engelbert Humperdinck's pantomime opera The Miracle had premiered in London in 1911. The lavish production at Philadelphia's Metropolitan Opera House opened on Oct. 4, 1926. Designed by Norman Bel Geddes and directed by Max Reinhardt, it starred Diana Manners (1892-1986) (Lady Diana Olivia Winifred Maud Cooper, Vicountess Norwich) and Iris Tree (1897-1968). Scarce.
